Do you have a Montreal West Arena Story?
Do you have a memory you want to share about the Montreal West Arena?
Montreal West Public Library’s Threads of Memory is collecting oral histories and fun stories about The Arena! We will be making a short video with the highlights to share on our website and at public events.
We are looking for stories of any kind related to the Arena!
- Hockey stories! (playing, organizing, attending)
- Ice skating and other ways the arena was used (skateboarding, lobster dinners, concerts?)
- Community hub
- Your first impressions
- Was it really the coldest ice in the world?
You can contribute your story in any way you like!
- We can record you on a Zoom call
- You can send us a video recorded on your phone (record in landscape mode if possible)
- you can write us a story- you can make a photo collage
- send us a snapshot with a short description
- we will also be scheduling an in person session outside of the rink as well. (if you are interested in this option we will follow up with a doodle to arrange a time)
Threads of Memory is a senior-led oral history and digital media project. We are a group of volunteers who are exploring a manner of media and creating content about our community. Let us know if you want to get involved!
